Root Canal Preparation Unit

Sirona Dental Systemsintroduces its SIROEndo system, an electronic root canal preparation unit that fits directly onto most manufacturers’ dental units. The chairside unit features a swiveling support arm that remains within the practitioner’s reach at all times, integrated file system, torque-control settings, an automatic motor stop function and auto-reverse technology, and an integrated apex locator for optimum accuracy when measuring the length of the root canal. The swiveling arm system can be mounted on most supporting light posts. No setup or mobilization of the unit is needed before a treatment session. SIROEndo’s digital display and audible sounds educate the user on the approximate distance to the apex. Once the working length is reached, the motor switches off automatically. If the working length is exceeded, the display gives a visual signal. When Auto-Reverse is activated, the file in use reverses direction automatically once the torque is exceeded, preventing the file from jamming or fracturing.
