Forestadent USA,St Louis, has introduced BioPassive Brackets. BioPassive is thepassive version of the company’s BioQuick brackets. BioPassive has allthe same features of BioQuick, including a 0.016- x 0.016-inchauxiliary slot, the company’s patented 3D hook-style base, roundededges, and a circumferential pad margin designed to aid in the bondingprocess.
The main difference between the BioPassive and BioQuick brackets is the slot size: The slot of the BioPassive bracket having been increased to allow room for the use of larger archwires with less friction. TheBioPassive bracket can be used as a stand-alone system, or it can be usedin combination with the BioQuick system.
