The AAO has expanded TechSelect with new product categories, including in-house retainers, remote monitoring, and custom bracket systems.

The American Association of Orthodontists has expanded its member-exclusive resource, TechSelect, to include new product categories.

The site has expanded its offerings to include in-house retainers, remote monitoring, and digital indirect bonding, and custom bracket systems.

Through this program, members can learn from the AAO Committee on Technology (CTECH) about each process and research and compare products. In addition, members have access to the lowest available price through the TechSelect website from trusted partners who give back to the AAO.

Since launching in 2021, TechSelect has received thousands of visits from AAO members seeking information about fabricating aligners in-house.

The platform offers over 70 videos, guides, and interactive tools, including an investment pay-back calculator, all packaged inside a user-friendly website.

“One of the goals of the AAO strategic plan is to drive transformation and innovation to advance member success. I’m confident our members will find the expansion of TechSelect a valuable resource as they explore bringing new technologies to their practices,” said Neal Kravitz, DMD, MS, AAO CTECH chair. “The popularity of remote monitoring, digital indirect bonding, and custom bracket systems made these products obvious top contenders for the TechSelect expansion.”

The “Explore Products” resource features basic information, guidance on evaluating products, side-by-side product comparisons, and product-specific information. Members can also find an inquiry form to submit for products of interest. Completing and submitting the inquiry form locks in TechSelect pricing.

“TechSelect gives each of our members a roadmap to implementing digital solutions that ultimately help patients obtain affordable, high-quality, and convenient services,” said Norman J. Nagel, DDS, MS, AAO 2022-2023 president.
