The ADA promoted Robert Quashie from senior vice president of operations to chief operating officer.

The American Dental Association has promoted Robert Quashie to the position of chief operating officer.

As COO, Quashie will design, implement, and monitor an effective operating model and annual operating plan for internal performance and governance.

He will also manage the long range ADA strategic plan and goal planning process and facilitate the ADA’s enterprise-wide Agile program through ADA teams, spearheading all Agile enterprise-wide initiatives and projects.

In his prior role as senior vice president of operations he managed the Operations Oversight senior management team and was responsible for advancing growth, sustainability and capacity measured under the ADA Strategic Plan. Quashie will continue this work in his new role.

He initially joined the ADA in 2015 as the director of business analyst, providing consulting services to all ADA divisions.

“I’m thrilled to announce Robert Quashie’s promotion to chief operating officer,” said Raymond Cohlmia, DDS, executive director of ADA.  “His advancement will support an effective operating model for internal performance and governance, and to have him leading the operational charge and annual operating plan, I can’t think of a more qualified leader to oversee these critical issues.”

The ADA also announced that Jim Goodman has been promoted to chief business strategy and product portfolio officer.

Goodman will set and direct business strategy, ensuring that ADA members and customers remain the focal point. He will lead strategic assessment, direction, and alignment of the entire ADA product and services portfolio.

Additionally, Goodman will liaise with ADA’s wholly owned subsidiaries, including ADA Business Enterprises and ADA Business Innovation Group to confirm alignment in serving ADA mutual customers.

“Jim’s business acumen has made a tremendous impact on the ADA, and it is with great pleasure that I announce his new position,” said Cohlmia. “Under his leadership, the ADA will offer a unified product and services portfolio to be delivered seamlessly through various vehicles, including our MY ADA App currently under development.”
