DentalMonitoring+ and Synapse Dental were named winners of the 2025 AAO New Products Showcase Awards, announced during the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session held April 25 to 27 in Philadelphia.

DentalMonitoring+ received the Treatment Product Award for its AI-powered dynamic 3D modeling platform designed to enhance clinical oversight and treatment efficiency. Synapse Dental’s Dental Pain Eraser Practice Referral Kits earned the Practice Product Award, recognized for their role in patient comfort and referral generation. Winners were selected through onsite voting by orthodontists and residents attending the event.

Annual Session Draws Global Audience

The 2025 AAO Annual Session welcomed more than 9,000 registered attendees from 80 countries, generating an estimated $25 million in economic impact for Philadelphia, according to the association. The event featured over 200 continuing education sessions led by prominent orthodontic clinicians, researchers, and practice management experts.

The Exhibit Hall hosted more than 350 companies, offering attendees hands-on access to new products and technologies designed to support orthodontic practice growth and clinical performance.

AAO Leadership on the Event’s Impact

“Every year, the AAO Annual Session provides orthodontists and their staff with a myriad of professional and personal growth opportunities,” said newly installed AAO President Steven M. Siegel, DMD. “This year’s event continued the AAO’s commitment to strengthen the profession by bringing the latest technological advancements in the specialty to practitioners from across the United States, Canada and throughout the world.”

Looking Ahead to 2026

Next year’s AAO Annual Session is scheduled to take place in Orlando, Fla, from May 1 to 3, 2026. Additional details about speakers and programming will be announced later this year, with registration set to open in November 2025.
