The Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO) has launched a new pilot program to provide orthodontic services to patients in need. The program is a result of a partnership, formed in September, with Performance Scrubs, Brentwood, Tenn.
Performance Scrubs agreed to donate 10% of all retail proceeds from NESO members and their staff to the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Donated Orthodontic Services (DOS) program. The AAO’s DOS program, established in 2009, currently has 378 volunteer orthodontists throughout the country. The donations will allow NESO to implement a DOS program in its region.
The NESO program accepts applications from patients or parents of patients. While the program focuses on patients between the ages of 7 and 18, adult patients are also considered under special circumstances.
