Lisa Ashby has been appointed president of Carestream Dental effective May 4, 2015. As a member of the executive leadership team, she will lead the company’s global dental organization.
Ashby comes from Cardinal Health—a $100 billion healthcare products and services provider. Most recently, she was president, medical devices and diagnostics, at Cardinal Health, with responsibility for six companies generating $3 billion in revenue with a product portfolio ranging from laboratory diagnostics to surgical devices and critical care products. She served on Cardinal Health’s operating committee and several company advisory councils, and was active in several industry organizations to help influence legislative policy and create awareness across the global healthcare community.
Prior to this, Ashby was president of category management with executive responsibility for key Cardinal Health companies that manufactured and distributed healthcare products around the world. In this role, Ashby increased new product introductions by more than 30%. Earlier in her career, she held leadership positions in sales and marketing, channel management and distribution, and operations at Cardinal Health.
Ashby holds a BA in public policy/computer science/psychology from Duke University. She is a board member of BioOhio and a past board member of AdvaMedDx, and has served on multiple nonprofit organizations benefiting the Ohio community.
