Dolphin Imaging & Management Solutions, Chatsworth, Calif, is partnering with Sirona Dental Inc, Charlotte, NC, for a special Orthodontic Symposium at the upcoming “CEREC 30” event, scheduled for September 17 to 19, 2015, at The Venetian and Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas.

According to Dolphin, the curriculum will offer a comprehensive, well-rounded educational experience for the orthodontists and their staff. Clinical courses by world-renowned lecturers will be presented, along with other general sessions, keynote presentations, and social functions.

Orthodontic program contents include:

  • Hugo De Clerck, DDS, PhD, will lecture on miniplate anchorage for midface protraction in class III patients and molar distalization in class II cases. De Clerck will discuss the results of continuous orthopedic traction based on a Cone-beam CT at T1 and T2 registered on the anterior cranial base. There will be two sessions—Friday and Saturday—of this lecture.
  • Arthur Curley, Esq, will present a lecture titled “The Law and 3D Imaging.” Curley will provide a review of the legal evolution of CBCT, examine case studies, and provide the direction of legal trends.
  • Shikha Rathi, BDS, MS, will lecture on the “Key Conditions to Look for When Evaluating a CBCT.” The lecture will cover how to identify facial growth pattern, alveolar ridge morphology, TMJ, and airway in a CBCT.
  • John Graham, DDS, MD, will present a lecture titled “Not Your Daddy’s Orthodontics: Cutting Edge Orthodontic Treatment.” This presentation will look at how modern orthodontic techniques are delivering beautiful, functional, and efficient treatment results.
