The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) has certified or recertified 85 examinees who participated in the Clinical Examination in June in St. Louis.
Sixty-one orthodontists successfully completed the Gateway Certification Examination, thereby maintaining their certification. Of the orthodontists who presented cases for the Initial Certification Examination (ICE), 22 became Diplomates, and eight banked cases for the eventual completion of the ICE. In addition, two orthodontists attained certification by successfully completing the Beginning Certification Examination.

The ABO will conduct another Clinical Examination November 16 to 20, for which registration is open through August 15. Registration is also open for the 2012 Clinical Examinations that will be held in February, June, and November.
