Henry Schein Inc, Melville, NY, will launch TechCentral Hybrid Backup Service at the Chicago Midwinter Dental Meeting this week.
The service is designed to help offices store practice and patient data both on-site and in the cloud. Hybrid Backup Service uses Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) 256-bit encryption, both on the local backup device and on the cloud server.
In the event the practice loses its server completely or in part because of disaster or hardware failure, TechCentral will assist in restoring a previous version of a file, image, x-ray, or full database via phone. If the restoration requires on-site assistance, a TechCentral technician will be sent.
