Isolite Systems, Santa Barbara, Calif, maker of the Isolite™ dryfield illuminator, has launched a new mouthpiece for the system, the Medium DV (Deep Vestibule) mouthpiece. Like other Isolite systems, the Medium DV is designed to fit patients of varying size—from small children to large adults.
 
With a new shape and design, the Medium DV mouthpiece allows for more complete tongue retraction and a better fit in a patient’s mouth. Its expanded cheek shield shape provides improved suction that goes deeper into the vestibule. The new design also provides for additional suction capacity within the bite block itself, ensuring that saliva does not pool behind the mouthpiece.
