Doc’s Duds, Red Bank, NJ, introduces the addition of a stain-release fabric to its designer lab coat portfolio. The new fabric debuted at the recent annual session of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
According to Wayne Greer, president of Doc’s Duds, "Each of our high-fashion garments has been crafted using a textile with a state-of-the-art technology that enables them to resist most spills. Instead of an unsightly stain spelling the end of a lab coat’s useful life, water alone will restore a professional look."
The Doc’s Duds collection of fashion lab coats includes the full-length Wayne lab coat, which features a classic European tailored fit with back belt detail; the three-quarter-length Betty, a lab coat with a high zip-through collar and full-length sleeves with an elastic cuff; the Diana, a belted lab coat with decorative top stitching; the Barbara, a straight-cut lab coat with a Mandarin collar and a vintage feel; and the Jennifer, a lab coat with an easy fit and flare that flatters a wide range of figures. The company has also developed a line of women’s antimicrobial knitted tee tops and pants to complement its lab coats. New additions to the line include the Alex, a traditional three-patch-pocket midlength coat; and the Chris, which is a short clinic jacket with a sport-coat appearance.
The company also offers custom embroidery options and a custom program featuring colored and black lab coats as well as the traditional white lab coat.
