[removed]Smiles Change Lives[/removed] (SCL), Kansas City, Mo, has launched a [removed]referral contest[/removed] to help at least 100 children in need get braces by the end of 2010.
The person, practice, or organization that refers the most children to SCL between November 1, 2010, and December 31, 2010, will win a $500 Visa cash card. Five runners up will receive a $100 Visa cash card. Children between ages 11 and 18 are eligible.
More than 200 orthodontists recently joined SCL and have immediate openings to serve approved SCL patients. This campaign is designed to match more kids in need of braces with those orthodontists. Even if an SCL provider is not located in an applicant’s area, orthodontists are still encouraged to refer potential patients. SCL will recruit an orthodontist in their area to provide services.
Currently, the program is at capacity in Kansas City, southern Florida, and Kansas. While orthodontists can still submit referrals for patients in these areas, applicants may not receive assistance for 12 months or longer. If an orthodontist in one of these areas would like to join SCL to provide services, SCL welcomes applications.
