Oral Health America, a nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to improving oral health for all Americans for 50 years, has announced that a limited number of tickets are now available for its 18th Annual Gala Dinner and Silent Auction, to be held February 21, 2008, at Navy Pier in Chicago. OHA is anticipating a sold-out event this year and strongly encourages attendees to purchase tickets and reserve tables early.

The Oral Health America Gala, held each year during the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting, is one of the dental industry’s premier networking events. This year’s theme is "Connect in Chicago." The black-tie-optional evening features dinner, dancing, a cash prize raffle, and a silent auction of items such as jewelry, restaurant and theater certificates, celebrity items, and advertising space in dental publications. The event raises funds to support educational and service programs designed to improve oral health.

Sponsorships are available at the Gold Level ($2,500), Platinum Level ($5,000), and Diamond Level ($10,000). Sponsors will be listed in the event publicity and will be recognized at the event. Payment can be made in 2007 or 2008, depending upon budgeting preference. OHA is also seeking donations of items of value for the silent auction. Sponsors already on board include Patterson Dental and Sullivan-Schein Dental (Diamond); Dentsply and SciCan (Platinum); and Belmont Publications, GC America, Tokuyama Dental, and Aetna Dental (Gold).

The Oral Health America 18th Annual Gala Dinner and Silent Auction will run from 6:30 PM to 11 PM. Tickets are $275 each; a table for 10 can be purchased for $2,400. To reserve tickets or to get information on sponsorships or donations, please contact Joe Donohue at (312) 836-9900.
