Ultradent Products Inc, South Jordan, Utah, recently introduced its new take-home whitening product, Opalescence Go. The product comes in a ready-made UltraFit™ tray that adapts to the teeth for better fit and improved whitening.
Opalescence Go is designed for those with an “on-the-go” lifestyle. The 10% hydrogen peroxide gel allows for a 30- to 60-minute wear time and is available in mint, melon, or peach flavors. A 15% hydrogen peroxide gel is also available in mint flavor and allows for a 15- to 20-minute wear time.
The UltraFit tray material offers molar-to-molar coverage, for better gel contact with more posterior teeth. The prefilled trays can be worn right out of the package.
Opalescence Go also contains PF (potassium nitrate and fluouride). According to the company, potassium nitrate has been shown to help reduce sensitivity, while fluouride has been shown to help reduce caries and strengthen enamel.
