CirrusOrtho LogoCirrus Ortho, Twin Falls, Idaho, has launched its cloud computing service for orthodontists. Operated from within a dedicated data center, the cost-effective service hosts any orthodontic-specific vendor software—including practice management, imaging, patient education, digital models, and digital x-ray software—accessible anywhere in the world. Customers can run other popular programs, like Microsoft Office, from the cloud as well.

The HIPAA-certified service is available for use on any operating system, backs up nightly on redundant hard disks stored in a secure underground vault, and is PCI compliant.

The company has physical access to all equipment at all times, providing customers with “higher uptimes and faster response times.”

The Cirrus Ortho Tier III data center features backup power supplies, plus a backup generator; backup HVAC; and a fire suppression system—not just an alarm or detector.
