The 3Shape Trios 5 intraoral scan received the Cellerant Best of Class Hygiene Award for 2023, the company’s 10th consecutive win.

The 3Shape Trios 5 intraoral scanner has been given the Cellerant Best of Class Hygiene Award for 2023. The Trios line of intraoral scanners has won 10 consecutive Cellerant Best of Class Technology Awards.

The Cellerant Hygiene Award is presented to innovative solutions that improve clinical outcomes, enhance clinician ergonomics, and optimize hygiene treatment.

“Winning the award is a terrific honor for our team and made even more so because the Cellerant panel is made up of dental professionals. We appreciate their considering Trios for the award,” says Jakob Just-Bomholt, 3Shape chief executive officer.

The recently introduced FDA-cleared 3Shape Trios 5 is hygienic by design with a body that is sealed up to its battery inlet and devoid of cracks or crevices where soil or contaminants can accumulate. The autoclavable scanner tip which is closed by a sapphire glass window also creates a robust microbial barrier between the patient and the scanner.

Additionally, the Trios 5 Wireless includes single-use body sleeves that cover the entire area touched by the operator, offering further protection against contamination.

“We are excited to present 3Shape Trios with our Cellerant Best of Class Hygiene Award. Over the past few years, due to the pandemic the dental industry has sought to focus more on hygiene,” said Lou Shuman, DMD, CAGS, Best of Class founder and Cellerant CEO. “3Shape Trios 5 helps lead the way with its revolutionary hygienic design.
