Ortho Computer Systems Inc, Ames, Iowa, has released Edge Mobile, the smartphone and tablet platform to work in tandem with Edge management, imaging, and communication software. The new technology is free to Edge clients and is immediately available for use with Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad) devices.
Edge Mobile offers data access away from the office, providing patient biographical information, scheduled appointments, full treatment charts and images, and responsible party information. Users can call, text, or e?mail patients or responsible parties, and view and remove patient records contained in user?definable Stacks.
Edge Mobile mirrors the schedule as it appears in Edge, and also provides a list view of appointments that can be sorted by time, name, or procedure. Users can scroll through practice graphs and metrics they have selected for their personalized Edge Dashboard.
