Stars North Films, Orlando, Fla, has released a 17-minute short film called Crooked,which was created to be played in dental and orthodontic waiting rooms.Available on DVD, the film was written and directed by award-winningfilmmaker Todd Thompson.
Crooked is told through the eyes of Samantha, a young girlobsessed with losing her last crooked baby tooth in order to have aperfect smile and win the heart of the new boy at school. The film starsKendall Ganey (The Little Princess, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective) and Bo Mitchell (October Road, Eastbound and Down), and introduces the talents of Sarah Grace Ackerman and Justin Garcia.
An executive producer of the film is Steve Tinsworth, DMD, who hasserved as president of the Florida and Southern Association ofOrthodontics and was a past AAO Council Chair on Orthodontic Practice."The story is incredibly witty and fast-paced," Tinsworth says.
