MotionView’s EZ 3D Aligner Trimmer is designed to trim aligners, fabricate bite splints and produce other thermoformed orthodontic appliances.

MotionView has launched the robotic EZ 3D aligner trimmer that can trim 9 aligners at once in less than 4 minutes, according to the company.

The robotic trimming machine is designed for trimming aligners, fabrication of bite splints, and other thermoformed orthodontic and dental appliances.

EZ 3D Trimmer is designed to solve the challenge of affordability for smaller offices while still offering advanced functionality.

The in-office process used for aligner and retainer trimming lets staff with limited orthodontic knowledge fabricate well-designed appliances.

Staff members can design the aligners one time and the software will automatically adjust the trim line for an entire set of aligners.

The EZ 3D is designed to be economical to maintain because there are no aligner fees, required updates, or unexpected requirements. In addition, the process used for the trimming is made to be durable with carbide cutters that can potentially last for years, according to MotionView.

It is compatible with various aligner design software to ensure adaptability and diversity for practices.

Given the low maintenance of the automatic EZ 3D trimmer, MotionView says that production will expand while requiring less staff intervention and improving practice efficiency.
