Vision USA, Cherry Hill, NJ, now offers a number of frame styles for its Laser Safety Glasses. Designed to meet the needs of orthodontists, assistants, and patients, Vision USA’s products include “fit over” frames, sport wrap frames, and universal frames. All frames can be worn under any headband loupe or LED headband loupe when the user needs magnification and lighting.
The lenses are available in three different materials. The polycarbonate laser glasses are lightweight and offer patients protection from lasers. According to the company, the coated laser filters are made with a dielectric coating process that renders the coating scratch- and flake-proof. All these laser glasses meet or exceed ANSI Z136.1 requirements for use with laser systems.
