DUX Dental, Oxnard, Calif, has expanded its line of bur blocks with a new model that features drain holes designed to prevent rust and an attached cover intended to protect burs from damage. The new block is compatible with handpiece, friction grip, and latch burs.
All DUX Dental bur blocks offer storage for rotary cutting instruments. They are constructed from polypropylene plastic and can be cleaned ultrasonically or with most chemical disinfectants. In addition, they can be sterilized in an autoclave.
The block (with cover) measures 2 7/8 x 3/8 x 1 3/8 inches and retails for $13.50. It is available in nine different colors.
