Orthodent Laboratory, Williamsville, NY, has introduced easyrx, a Web-based appliance prescription management software for orthodontists and dentists.
With the software, users can digitally and graphically design retainers and then digitally send the prescription to the lab. The software provides orthodontists the ability to click and drag any orthodontic appliance part to the easyrx canvas. Users can then drag that part to any tooth to create an error-free script. In addition, all scripts are saved in a secured database and can be retrieved from any Mac or PC with Internet access. Easyrx is HIPPA compliant.
