Ormco announced the expansion of its digital bonding software to support more bracket systems and will display a new adhesive system at the 2026 American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session.

Ormco has announced the expanded capabilities of Ormco Digital Bonding (ODB), which now supports the majority of the company’s bracket portfolio. Additionally, the company will showcase its enhanced EtchFree Bonding system at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session in Orlando, Florida, from May 1 to 3, 2026.

Digital Bonding Expansion

ODB will extend its workflow to Damon Clear, Mini Diamond, Orthos, Titanium Orthos, and Mini-Twin bracket systems. These join the existing availability for Damon Ultima, Symetri Clear, and Damon Q2. The software aims to give orthodontists increased treatment efficiency and flexibility to position brackets as planned.

“By using ODB workflows for all patients, I can easily make choices across multiple treatment options in the software, allowing increased flexibility to treat patients with more treatment modalities, ultimately increasing efficiency within my practices,” says Dr Barry Benton, orthodontist at Designer Smiles, in a release.

As the company describes it, the ODB system integrates Ormco brackets and wires with the Spark Approver Platform and jig technology to streamline practice workflows and support an easy-to-delegate bonding process.

EtchFree Bonding System

The EtchFree Bonding system, an adhesive designed to eliminate acid etching, will be featured in the AAO New Product Showcase. At the 2026 meeting, Ormco is introducing a new twist-top unit-dose delivery system for EtchFree. The single-arch dose format is designed for faster application, reduced technique sensitivity, and less waste, allowing clinical teams to use any standard applicator brush.

“Seeing ODB expand to even more bracket systems and watching EtchFree earn recognition in the New Product Showcase, speaks to the momentum gained year over year across our portfolio,” says Veronica Acurio, president, Ormco, in a release.

Additional AAO Showcases

Other products on display at the Ormco booth include Spark Clear Aligners, Spark Junior for early intervention, and Spark BiteSync for Class II correction. The company will also feature the Spark StageRx visual workflow, the Damon Ultima system, AOA Lab’s 3D Metal Printed Appliances, and The Leaf Expander.
