Dentsply/GAC, Bohemia, NY, introduces In-Ovation LMTM for cases requiring minor tooth movement. According to the company, the In-Ovation LMTM System employs extremely small, easy-to-bond, self-ligating, lingual brackets that can be bonded to the six upper and six lower anterior teeth, including wire placement, in just 30 minutes. An indirect bonding option will be available soon. For most cases, treatment can be completed in 12 to 24 weeks, often without an archwire change.
According to Dr Ron Roncone, Vista, Calif, “Anybody who has had a bad experience applying lingual before will now say, ‘This is simple. I can do this.’ This is truly something anyone can do.”
The system is indicated for cases that involve:
• crowding of 6 mm or less;
• spacing of 3 mm or less or midline correction of 2 mm or less; or
• rotations of 25° or less.
