Ortho Technology Inc, Tampa, Fla, now offers Flat Titanium Dead-Soft Lingual Wire, providing orthodontists with a new option for retention. The dead-soft wire is used to create fixed lingual retainers.
According to the company, it features increased interproximal strength for semi-permanent splinting or maintaining difficult extraction sites on upper or lower arches. The titanium wire offers reduced wear rates and is nickel free. It can be easily formed and the flat dimensions help retain final torque positions.
Made in the United States, this wire is offered 10 per pack, with dimensions of .010” depth x .028” width x 6.0” lengths.
