ProDrive Systems Inc, Montreal, has launched its ProDrive for KaVo program. With the purchase of a three-pack of ProDrive Upgrade Turbines for KaVo handpieces, an orthodontist receives a 3-year warranty. According to the company, ProDrive is able to provide this lengthy warranty due to its robust chuck design. While friction grip chucks in traditional turbines suffer increasing wear over time, ProDrive’s chuck is designed to provide “like new” cut performance for the life of the turbine.
The ProDrive System is a turbine upgrade compatible with high-speed handpieces (including KaVo, Midwest, Sirona, Star Dental, and W&H®). ProDrive Turbines work in conjunction with ProDrive Diamond and Carbide Burs, all of which can be lengthened 3 mm and have double grooves that allow them to be safely locked in place.
