RMO buy-back program is an alternative resource for dental practitioners, as Dentsply Sirona exits traditional orthodontic product market.

Rocky Mountain Orthodontics (RMO) offers an array of comparable products for Dentsply Sirona/GAC orthodontic customers as that company announces its exit from the traditional business as reported in the company’s 2020 Second Quarter Report.

To assist Dentsply’s orthodontic appliance customers, RMO is offering a buy-back program to U.S. and Canadian doctors looking for alternative sources of brackets, bands, tubes and wires. “RMO has had a long partnership with GAC and Dentsply by manufacturing Resolve buccal tubes on behalf of GAC,” says RMO chief executive officer Tony Zakhem. “RMO makes premium orthodontic appliances that are a great alternative resource for Dentsply customers in need of tubes, bands, brackets and wire as the company discontinues these product lines.”

RMO offers the following products that are equivalent to those being discontinued by Dentsply Sirona:

  • FLI Buccal Tubes vs. Resolve Buccal Tubes
  • Truform vs. Snap-Fit molar bands
  • Alpine SL and Alpine SL Clear vs. In-Ovation self-ligating brackets
  • FLIClear and Signature III vs. Ovation ceramic brackets
  • Orthonol, Thermaloy (+), FLI aesthetic and Copper NiTi vs. Accu-Force wires
  • Trioforce Preformed Natural Arch Wire vs. BioForce Arch Wire

The Denver, Colorado-based, RMO focuses exclusively on providing customers a wide range of orthodontic products, including bracket systems, tubes, TADs, wire, adhesives, elastics, instruments and specialty products for early treatment.  RMO is an 87-year-old family-oriented business that will continue to focus solely on orthodontic appliances, adds Zakhem.
