The AAO Board of Trustees put out a call for members to apply for the 2022 At-Large Trustee position.

The American Association of Orthodontists Board of Trustees is looking for 1-2 members to fill the 2022 AAO At Large Trustee position.

The AAO hopes for members to bring in a diversity of viewpoints and strengthen the team.

The AAO board believes that an association board reflects the diversity of the membership it serves. The organization hopes to have more connections to the community and its needs with diverse members.

A diverse board will improve the association’s ability to respond to external influences that are changing the environment for those served and in which it is working, according to the AAO.

It also hopes the new trustees will lead to better decision-making by bringing a broader perspective and capacity to identify the full range of opportunities and risks.

Those interested in the position are encouraged to complete and return the application with a curriculum vitae via email to Aimee Snyder-Jackson at [email protected] or via mail to the AAO headquarters.

The deadline for receipt of applications is January 15. Finalists will be selected and interviewed by the Board of Trustees in late March via Zoom. At-Large trustees will be appointed for up to a 3-year term.
