3shape_ProSomnus3Shape, Copenhagen, Denmark, announced the integration of its TRIOS intraoral scanner with ProSomnus® sleep apnea and snoring devices from ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. The integration is intended to provide patients receiving treatment for obstructive sleep apnea with a quicker turnaround time and more accurate devices.

According to the company, once a patient is scanned with TRIOS, the doctor can select ProSomnus from the list of integrated providers on the TRIOS Communicate cloud. The TRIOS digital impressions are then sent to ProSomnus, which uses the impressions to CAD/CAM design and manufacture their sleep apnea and snoring devices.

TRIOS is the first and only intraoral scanner ProSomnus connects with to receive  “authenticated workflow” approval from the sleep apnea and snoring device-maker.

ProSomnus Sleep Technologies designs, manufactures, and markets intraoral sleep devices used by dental professionals to treat patients diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea. The company manufactures the MicrO2® Sleep and Snore Device, a FDA cleared Class II medical device.
