Align Technology has received regulatory approval to launch its 3D-printed Invisalign Palatal Expander System in China in the second half of 2025.
Align Technology Inc announced that its Invisalign Palatal Expander System has received approval from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in China, clearing the way for a commercial launch in the second half of 2025.
Expanding Phase 1 Treatment Options in China
The Invisalign Palatal Expander is a 3D-printed, removable orthodontic appliance designed to treat skeletal and dental malocclusions in children and adolescents by expanding the upper jaw. Already available in several global markets, the system will soon be available to Chinese doctors and patients, expanding Align’s presence in Asia.

Existing Global Availability
The Invisalign Palatal Expander System is already available in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, and Turkey. Align plans to expand into additional markets as regulatory approvals are secured.
