Dentsply Sirona will showcase updates to DS Core, SureSmile Simulator, and Midwest Energo handpieces at the 2024 Midwinter meeting.

Dentsply Sirona is participating in the upcoming Chicago Dental Society’s 2024 Midwinter Meeting and will showcase its latest advancements and solutions, including its expanded workflow integration with 3Shape.

Dentsply Sirona is also sponsoring the Women in Dentistry Breakfast in support of women in dentistry. Attendees are encouraged to visit Dentsply Sirona at booth number 2012 to explore a comprehensive display of the company’s newest product launches.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to participate in the Chicago Midwinter Meeting, renowned for its scientific programming and large exhibition area,” said Andrew Robinson, senior vice president, North America regional commercial organization. “The event is a must-attend for many professionals and a great chance to reconnect with customers from across a broad spectrum of the profession.”

Among the solutions the company will showcase, Dentsply Sirona will feature the latest updates to DS Core including an enhanced Communication Canvas that aims to make patient communication more illustrative and user-friendly. Patient images such as X-ray images, photos, or intraoral scans can be arranged and displayed side-by-side on a digital canvas in 2D and 3D. Annotations in the form of text or freehand drawings can now also be inserted into the canvas for 2D imagery. In addition, dental professionals can share the images with patients, making it easy to communicate while adhering to data protection regulations for data sharing.

The viewer function in DS Core now supports additional data formats such as STL and PLY, making the cloud platform a powerful tool for communication and collaboration also for users employing third-party intraoral scanners.

Powered by DS Core, SureSmile Simulator gives dental professionals the ability to transform treatment conversations by showing patients the potential esthetic benefits. Prior to treatment planning, the SureSmile Simulator assists dental professionals in evaluating each case. By measuring initial models and generating estimated treatment duration and complexity from the post-simulation results, clinicians can enter the planning phase with more information.

The new Midwest Energo portfolio of electric handpieces features small head dimensions, better durability, and high level of safety, according to the company. The new handpieces will be available in North America from the end of February 2024.
