A cat with a broken jaw is getting realignment from a determined orthodontist. The cat, named Baxter, was found battered on the side of the road in Socorro, NM.
Baxter eventually healed, but he couldn’t chew properly because his teeth were misaligned, so his owners took him to an orthodontist, Ginger Bratzel, DDS, who gave him braces. “Looking at the situation, what we would do isn’t that much different for humans,” Bratzel said. “The biggest difficulty we were going to have was, would Baxter tolerate this?”
