Align Technology Inc, San Jose, Calif, and Cadent Inc,Carlstadt, NJ, have teamed up to jointly develop software applicationsthat will run on Cadent iTero™ and iOC™ scanners for use in Invisaligntreatment. The new applications will focus on optimizing case assessmentand planning for Invisalign treatment, and bringing digital tools tothe chairside for Invisalign providers who use Cadent scanners.
In addition, as part of the company’s program to evaluate theinteroperability of several manufacturers’ intraoral scanning systems forfuture use with Invisalign treatment, Align is currently in final betatests with Cadent to validate their systems. The companies expect toannounce interoperability in the second quarter of 2011.
