OrthoAccel® Technologies Inc, Houston, has hired Michigan-based orthodontist S. Jay Bowman, DMD (pictured) as a clinical consultant. Bowman will serve as a clinical educator for the AcceleDent™ System.
AcceleDent is a removable appliance designed to be worn byorthodontic patients for 20 minutes daily to accelerate tooth movement. The AcceleDent System has been available outside the United Statessince October 2009 and has recently gotten FDA clearance.
