Smiles Change Lives(SCL), Kansas City, Mo, has announced its 2012 board of directors. The2012 SCL board includes Virginia L. Brown, founder of SCL; Thomas C.Brown, son of Virginia Brown and chairman of the SCL board of directors;and Kelly Toombs, DDS, all who have been with SCL since its inception.  

New members of the board include Frank Egan, DDS;Jess Kane, DMD; Stephen Litton, DDS; Perry Brown, MBA, a managingdirector and private banker at Citibank; Reuben Paulsen, CPA, EnergyFinancial Services; Sally Smith, the founder and president of Smith& Associates Inc; Phyllis Nolan, MBA, a community volunteer; andSusan Schmelzer, PhD, a community volunteer. 

SCL provides affordable orthodontic treatment for children, ages 10 to 18, from low-income families.
