In this episode, infection control and prevention expert Jackie Dorst, RDH, BS, provides a refresher on how prevent COVID-19 infection among staff and patients, and the records you need to keep to help your practice stay open if there is a positive test. And once a staff member or patient tests positive, Jackie talks about that documentation you need to keep and how to investigate the case to determine who else may need to quarantine or get tested.Â
Jackie also talks about the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) upcoming live town hall meeting on July 28, at 8 pm ET. The event will be led by AAO President Chris Roberts, DDS, MS, and Mike Durbin, DDS, MS, head of the AAO COVID-19 Task Force. Experts from each area of the practice will be on hand to answer questions about the financial implications, human resources, and infection control issues related to COVID. OP
