Dolphin Imaging & Management Solutions, Chatsworth, Calif, announced that its partner, Sirona Dental Systems of Long Island, NY, has introduced a new version of its CEREC Ortho software—CEREC Ortho SW 1.1—that can generate output fully compatible with Invisalign®. The capability is available where the CEREC Omnicam intraoral camera is used.
Through an integration with Dolphin Imaging software, CEREC Ortho enables CEREC Omnicam scans to be stored directly in Dolphin 3D for archival, diagnostic, and patient education purposes. In addition, a dedicated file transfer to Align Technology allows for the production of Invisalign aligners.
