KaVo Kerr, Orange, Calif, and Simplifeye, New York, announced a new add-on module to the DEXIS Imaging Suite, DEXvoice. The module allows customers to use any Amazon Alexa enabled platform to integrate voice activation into their dental workflow.
With the DEXvoice module, dental professionals can use their voice in the operatory to capture, show, compare, take, and/or acquire images. When an Alexa device is present, dental professionals can say, “Alexa, ask My Helper to compare the PA’s of number 4.” Images of the PA number 4 will appear on screen, without the need for the doctor to stop, type, or re-glove.
DEXvoice was recently recognized by the Cellerant Consulting Group as a 2018 winner of Best of Class Emerging Technology Award.
