The LunaLite automated laser-guided dental x-ray positioner is designed to streamline the x-ray process for comfort and efficiency.
LunaLite Dental unveiled the LunaLite automated laser-guided dental x-ray positioner, designed to provide a more efficient and comfortable experience for both dental professionals and patients.
The LunaLite device’s features and precision engineering streamline dental x-ray procedures to ensure optimal patient safety and comfort. LunaLite Dental also reaffirmed its commitment to giving back to the community by donating devices to dental organizations that provide free dental care to underprivileged communities.
“I’m thrilled to see the impact the LunaLite device will have on both patients and practitioners! Our future vision is to continue to innovate how we take dental radiographs,” said Suzanne Cano, founder and chief executive officer of LunaLite Dental. “We’ve seen how AI can revolutionize the analytical aspect of dental radiographs, and we’re proud to announce that down the road the LunaLite brand will also incorporate AI into the actual taking of the radiograph.”
Key features of the device include:
- Automated Positioning: LunaLite replaces manual aligners with an automated x-ray positioner. Guided by laser or beep, it streamlines positioning for accurate angles and swift movement through programmed angles in 30 seconds for a full-mouth series (FMX). Additionally, it provides a manual choice for bitewing (BW) and periapical (PA) x-rays, catering to diverse dental imaging needs.
- Improved Patient Comfort: LunaLite eliminates the discomfort of traditional manual aligners, making dental x-rays minimally invasive. This leads to quicker procedures and a transformed patient experience.
- Precision and Efficiency: LunaLite is designed for precision and its intuitive design streamlines imaging, saving chair time and elevating patient comfort.
- Patient Safety: LunaLite’s laser guidance ensures patient safety. It calculates accurate angles for quality x-rays, preventing missed shots and overexposure. Always ensure the laser is visible before taking x-rays for utmost safety.
- Easy Sterilization: LunaLite fits most conehead machines, even mobile ones. It works under plastic covering, no removal needed. Charging is made simple through the use of USB and it can be cleaned with alcohol wipes, including on the display window.
“With LunaLite, a new generation of x-ray technology is here, forever changing how we take x-rays in the dental office,” said Melissa Turner, chief hygiene officer at Cellerant Consulting. “The LunaLite device helps clinicians save time by taking the guesswork out of the process by decreasing the need for retakes and finally offering clincians the chance at error-free radiography.”
