Carestream Dental, Atlanta, has launched a new practice management software called CS OrthoTrac Cloud. The software offers a centralized, Web-based platform where orthodontic professionals can access files at any time or location via the Internet and mobile device.
Using the cloud software, orthodontists will be able to conduct business wirelessly with any laptop or even a tablet or smartphone, according to Carestream, an industry leader in imaging, CAD/CAM, software and practice management solutions for dental and oral health professionals.
CS OrthoTrac Cloud includes features such as appointment scheduling, patient records, and access to OrthoTrac’s eServices, which automate manual tasks like processing claims or statements.
The product secures sensitive patient and practice management files in HIPAA-compliant storage. In addition, users do not need to download any software updates, which are all managed through the cloud platform.
The software premiered at the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) Annual Session on May 3rd, 2013, in Philadelphia.
