Spring Health Products Inc, Norristown, Penn, introduced the newest member of The Cure curing light product line, the Spring TC24A with the wide lens. The TC24A is a corded light that mounts on the delivery system like a handpiece. It features a flat-back head and bigger lens—measuring 11 mm. This wider lens is designed to easily cover a larger area such as a 10 mm molar for a fast cure.
The TC24A has a durable all metal housing, making it easier to disinfect and virtually unbreakable. In addition, it features a low-profile design which allows easier access to all areas of the mouth, and front and back power buttons for easier operation. The digital timer readout can be set from 2 to 20 seconds.
It weighs 1.7 ounces and features an ergonomic shape with a grip diameter of 3/4-inches for a more comfortable grip.
The TC24A includes high-power LED technology, providing 1400 mW/cm2 high intensity and 700 mW/cm2 low. The multi-wavelength LED has four diodes producing high-intensity light at 440 nm to 460 nm. The wavelength can be used for polymerizing most light-cured dental materials, penetrating porcelain to cure underlying resin cements, and allowing for a 6 second uniform cure.
