Victoria L. Wallace, CDA, RDA, of Ultradent Products was the recipient of the ADAA Sullivan-Schein District Award of Excellence and ADAA Journal Award at the 82nd Annual American Dental Assistants Association in Denver earlier this month. 

Each year, the ADAA recognizes dental assistants for achievement in the development and recognition of professionalism through education, membership services, and public awareness programs. Wallace was recognized for being an ADAA member who has enhanced the dental assisting profession and the ADAA through personal and professional growth.

Wallace was also the recipient of the Journal Award. This award is presented to an ADAA member who has submitted an educational article for ADAA’s publication, The Dental Assistant. The article submitted by Wallace was called Terminology, Technology, and Troubleshooting: Curing Lights. 
 
Wallace has been a certified dental assistant and registered dental assistant since 1976.  She is president of the Nevada Dental Assistants Association, the Southern Nevada Dental Assistants Society, and has been an active member of the ADAA for the past 8 years. She has also served on the ADAA Foundation Board of Directors for the past 5 years.

Wallace will be a guest speaker at the 2007 California Dental Association Scientific Session in Anaheim, Calif, and the 2007 Professional Dental Assisting Conference in Indianapolis.
