Henry Schein, Melville, NY, has partnered with Brain-Pad Inc, Conshohocken, Pa to distribute Brain-Pad technology to the dental community. Henry Schein will handle the distribution of Brain Pad’s NatureZone UV/ozone oral appliance sanitizer as well as the Brain-Pad mouthguard line.
The NatureZone Oral Appliance Sanitizer uses UV light and Ozone ions to disinfect, sanitize, and deodorize removable oral appliances such as orthodontic retainers, mouthguards, nightguards, and powered toothbrush heads. According to BrainPad, NatureZone is 99.9% effective in killing staphylococcus aureus, methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus, salmonella, streptococcal pharyngitis, and E. coli. It can do so in 3 minutes with no chemicals, tablets, or liquids.
