Dentsply Sirona will retire its Connect Case Center and transition users to the cloud-based DS Core platform by November 2025 in most countries.
Dentsply Sirona announced it will phase out its Connect Case Center (CCC) and transition users to the DS Core cloud platform by November 15, 2025, in most countries. Originally launched in 2010 to support intraoral scan transfers and lab orders, CCC will be retired as the company shifts toward cloud-based solutions aimed at improving clinical and operational workflows.
A Centralized, Cloud-Based Platform
According to Dentsply Sirona, DS Core provides a single interface to manage key workflows, including restorative, aligner, and implantology cases. The platform supports device-independent access and eliminates the need for traditional licensing models.
“Transferring from CCC to DS Core is the next logical step as we embrace the new era of Connected Dentistry,” said Max Milz, GVP connected technology solutions at Dentsply Sirona. “DS Core gives clinicians with access to all key workflows—restorative, aligners, implantology—from one centralized cloud-based platform, simplifying their lives and enabling better patient care, practice growth, and operational efficiency.”
Features Designed for Workflow Efficiency
Practices can scan with CEREC or Connect Software, attach x-rays and files, and delegate case management to staff. DS Core also enables chat-based communication and real-time file sharing with labs.
“Since switching to DS Core, our collaboration with the lab has improved” says DeeDee Meevasin, dentist from Las Vegas, Nevada. “We’ve gained more workflow flexibility, and it frees up the scanner, allowing us to scan more patients. With DS Core, our lab cases run smoothly from scanning to collaboration. It’s all in one place and allows me to focus on what matters most, my patients.”

Upgrade Process and Availability
Current CCC users can begin transitioning immediately. The upgrade process includes setting up a DS Core account and connecting existing devices such as intraoral scanners and X-ray units. Data transfer is supported on all DS Core account types, including free accounts. The Connect Case Center will cease to support data transfer in the listed countries by mid-November.
Global Rollout
The transition affects users in over 40 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Japan, and Australia. Practices are encouraged to begin the switch early to ensure continuity of service and to take full advantage of DS Core’s expanded capabilities.
