It’s time to share how your orthodontic practice performed in 2024. Orthodontic Products and Levin Group are excited to announce our 4th Annual Orthodontic Practice Survey, aiming to capture the experiences and insights from practices like yours over the past year.
Key lessons from last year’s survey highlighted several important industry trends:
- Decline in Production: Average production per orthodontist decreased by 4.7%, dropping from $1,611,324 in 2022 to $1,535,084 in 2023—the first decline in three years.
- Shifts in Patient Spending: The decline in production suggests possible changes in patient spending habits post-pandemic, impacting practice revenues.
- Staffing Challenges Persist: Many practices continued to struggle with recruitment and retention, making staffing a top concern.
- Optimism for Growth: Despite challenges, 85% of orthodontists remained optimistic, predicting an increase in production for the following year.
- Industry Trends Matter: Understanding these shifts helps orthodontists anticipate challenges, adapt their strategies, and stay competitive in an evolving market.
