SOTA Cloud’s dental imaging platform will now be offered through PDS Health Technologies, allowing dental organizations using the Epic-based system to incorporate imaging directly into patient records.
SOTA Cloud, a cloud-based dental imaging software company, has signed an agreement with PDS Health Technologies, a business unit of PDS Health, to make its platform available as part of PDS’s integrated health technology services. The deal brings SOTA Cloud’s diagnostic imaging tools to dental organizations using PDS Health Technologies’ Epic-based platform, allowing clinicians to access and store imaging data directly within the patient health record.
The integration is designed to streamline operations for dental practices, practice groups, and dental service organizations (DSOs), particularly those leveraging the Epic Community Connect model. It also supports efforts to strengthen the connection between oral and systemic health through more coordinated care.
Platform Designed to Eliminate Infrastructure Barriers
SOTA Cloud’s platform is cloud-native and compatible with a wide range of imaging hardware and practice management systems. Its architecture eliminates the need for local servers and complex IT infrastructure, offering a simplified solution for dental organizations seeking to reduce overhead while maintaining access to diagnostic tools.
By incorporating imaging data into a shared health record, the platform aims to improve care coordination and enable earlier detection of systemic conditions. Medical providers working within the same ecosystem will be able to view and act on oral health data without the need for manual data transfers.
Company Executives Highlight Broader Health Goals
“We built PDS Health Technologies to share the operational platform and clinical tools we’ve developed to support high-performance dentistry, making it easier for others to deliver integrated care,” said Preston Raulerson, president of PDS Health Technologies. “By adding SOTA Cloud to our services, we’re advancing our capabilities to allow for better integration of imaging data directly into the patient record, helping care teams see the full picture and act sooner.”
Albert Kim, CEO and co-founder of SOTA Cloud, said the collaboration goes beyond technology. “This collaboration with PDS Health Technologies is about more than technology, it’s about advancing whole-person care,” he said. “By embedding SOTA Cloud into the Epic Community Connect framework, we’re helping make oral health data a seamless part of the broader healthcare ecosystem.”
Integration Aims to Standardize Imaging Across Dental Networks
The integration offers enterprise-grade imaging functionality to dental organizations without requiring them to build or manage their own Epic infrastructure. According to the companies, the move will make it easier for DSOs and group practices to scale care, standardize workflows, and collaborate across medical and dental teams using shared data.
