The FDA has granted clearance to the required modifications to KaVo Dental, Lake Zurich, Illinois, QUATTROcare units and spray cans, the company announced on Monday.
In late 2006, KaVo voluntarily recalled the spray cans, which are attached to the QUATTROcare dental handpiece maintenance appliance, because of potential gas escapes.
Owners of QUATTROcare units can return the product to KaVo for a complimentary retrofit.
