Henry Schein Inc, Melville, NY, recently introduced the Maxima® RU1200 LED Curing Light, features one-touch functionality. The cordless pen-style unit is equipped with a powerful curing light (1200 mW/cm2) and is programmable from 5 to 30 seconds of curing time. Automatic ramp-up minimizes composite shrinkage with more than 750 10-second cycles provided by the lithium ion battery. Maxima® RU1200 also features a new black-coated, autoclavable light guide that rotates 360° to provide enhanced access and reduce glare. The curing light system is sold with a single Maxima® LED handpiece, an antiglare shield, an 8-mm light guide, and a universal adapter.
