OraMetrix, Dallas, has released SureSmile 6.0, the latest version of its orthodontic treatment-planning system. The upgraded system allows orthodontists to plan movement in three planes of space and simulate outcomes with respect to bone.
SureSmile 6.0 can be used for 3D digital imaging, planning and diagnostics, and robotic archwire customization.
According to the company, in a recent study of 36 patients from 6 practices using the beta version of SureSmile 6.0, treating orthodontists “asserted that all treatment plans were changed based on the modeled bone.”
